Translation Memory Discounts

MYL passes on the below Translation Memory (TM) discounts to its Clients, so that they have another reason to build a long-term relationship with us. We expect our translators to do likewise. Please complete the TM discounts below that you would like to offer.

Note: Quality is the key barometer for selecting translators, however if two translators are judged to have the same quality, then the translator that offers the greater TM discounts will be selected by our Project Managers.

Translation Volume Discounts

We encourage translators to offer volume discounts so that we can offer more competitive rates to our Clients to attract more business; which means more work for you. We have built this discount scheme into our online system so that all calculations below are automated when it comes to paying you. Our standard volume discounts are shown below. These are not compulsory and you are free to amend them if you wish. There are two types of Translation Volume Discounts: One-off Translation and Total Translated Words Each Month. Please note however that translators who offer volume discounts on the Total Translated Words Each Month tend to be allocated more work.

One-off Translation

For example:

You translated one job that is 12,000 source words and four other jobs that are 1,000 source words each. The one job of 12,000 source words will be discounted by 15%.

Total Translated Words Each Month

For example:

You translated a total of 18,000 source words in March and 6,000 source words in April. Your rate will be discounted by 15% in March and your full rate will be paid in April.
